What is vehicle paint contamination?
Pollution is any external micro element embedded in the vehicle’s paint that deteriorates its appearance and can even seriously affect its various coatings. The main cause of this contamination is caused by industrial pollution, carbon from exhaust gases, metallic particles in the atmosphere, acid rain, bird droppings and also from brake pad dust and road tar.
All these particles are embedded in the paint and can not be removed with a simple wash, that´s why it is necessary to use specific products for this purpose. This particles over time can become oxidized, creating corrosion and damaging the paint. Paint contamination is not related to vehicle age.
To find out if a car is contaminated, we can wrap a finger with a plastic bag and gently rub it over paint. If we notice it rough and the sound is rough, there is contamination.
Before carrying out any other treatment, whether it be applying a wax or polishing, it is advisable to previously decontaminate the vehicle. Decontamination of paint can remove different types of stains such as rust and oil contamination. It can be used on all parts of the car, bumpers, glass and mirrors, etc.
To use it, just mold it with your hands to soften, always use it with plenty of soap and water. Rinse and re-mold after use to preserve durability. Store in a clean closed recipient in a dry area, away from sun.
